The San Diego Opera has offered POZabilities tickets to the production of Fellow Travelers at the Balboa Theatre this Saturday, July 11, at 7:30 p.m. Information about the opera is available at the bottom of this page.
Sorry for the quick turnaround, but please RSVP no later than noon this Wednesday, July 8th. We will send out instructions to pick up tickets when we hear back from the theater.
Before responding, please check to see if you’ve already requested tickets to the SDGMC Concert, also scheduled for Saturday evening.
They are also experimenting with a “standby” line, where ticket holders in blocks like this can act as seat fillers for premium seating in the orchestra section. You would move if the holder of those premium seats shows up. If you’re interested in that, please indicate on the form.
These tickets are offered on a first come, first served basis. As we normally get more RSVP requests than we have available seats, please help us all out by only requesting what you plan to use and if your plans change let us know ASAP so that we can offer the tickets to someone else.
Please let us know if your plans change. You can email Joe at joe@pozabilities.org.
Please sign up using the form below.

Based on Thomas Mallon’s novel which recently became an acclaimed Showtime miniseries. Timothy Laughlin is an idealistic college grad when he arrives in Washington DC to join the fight against communism. But a chance encounter with a handsome State Department official leads to a secret love affair and heart-wrenching dilemmas. The year is 1953, and Senator McCarthy isn’t just looking for communists anymore. Hearing the score Opera Magazine calls “seductively beautiful,” you’ll be on the edge of your seat for the work the Chicago Tribune calls “one of the most accomplished new American operas.”
Performed with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra.
Running time: Approximately two hours and 15 minutes, including one intermission.
Contains partial nudity.
Sung in English with supertitles projected above the stage in English and Spanish.
