The San Diego Opera has offered us 30 tickets to their production of Rigoletto on SATURDAY, October 24th at 7:30 PM. These tickets are offered on a first come, first served basis. As we normally get more RSVP requests than we have available seats, please help us all out by only requesting what you plan to use and if your plans change let us know ASAP so that we can offer the tickets to someone else. There are no guarantees beyond the first 30 seats requested.
Please RSVP no later than noon on Sunday, October 18th using the form below. Instructions to receive tickets will be sent out when we get confirmation back from the Opera.
Any RSVP requests in excess will be placed on a waitlist and tickets allocated based on cancellations. If your plans change please let Joe Zilvinskis know at Joe@pozabilities.org or (619) 732-6687.
Music by Giuseppe Verdi
Libretto by Francesco Maria Piave
Conducted by Yves Abel
Directed by Christopher Mattaliano
Making jokes is what Rigoletto does for a living, serving as court jester to the predatory Duke of Mantua. But the joke may be on him when one of his jests enrages Count Monterone, the father of the Duke’s latest victim, unleashing a curse with dangerous consequences for Rigoletto and his beautiful daughter Gilda.
Packed with spectacular arias like “La donna è mobile,” “Caro nome,” and the stunning quartet “Bella figlia dell’amore,” Verdi’s sublime tale of betrayal, sacrifice, and revenge will hold you spellbound from start to finish.
Sung in Italian with English and Spanish translations projected above the stage.
Performed with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra.
Running time: Approximately 2 hours and 35 minutes including one intermission.
